One month ago, I made a pact with a couple of new writing partners. We would publish one blog post by the end of the month. Writing for this space feels a little uncomfortable, like shrugging back into a shirt that once fit fine but now hangs differently than it used to. Despite the twisting and turning to view all my angles in the mirror, the question remains: does this still suit or is it something that would be better put away for good? Our closets evolve like we do… items purchased and hopefully given not thrown away as our bodies and tastes change. My metaphorical writing closet changed likewise.

Hey there, my fellow fall-loving friends! Can you believe the way fall is flying by?! This year just like years past, the Mile High City ushered in October with a day of snow flurries, followed by weeks on end of lovely crisp mornings unfolding into golden, sunny afternoons — the kind where even my cute little plaid scarf however lightweight and boots became a little too warm after two hard apple ciders and a game of cornhole! Just like pretty much every other room on the first floor of our home, the dining room has come a long way from where we started when we bought this house just about two and a half years ago. I put this tablescape together a few weeks ago, and I think using the faux greenery really helped it to still feel seasonally appropriate what with the slow start to the fall season.
